tiny victorian

I just finished this project for a good friend who is getting married next month. It is of the first apartment in San Francisco that she and her fiance lived in. You can't tell from the picture, but it's actually pretty small, I have a hard time drawing any other way!

cutest couple

My good friend (and neighbor for another month...sigh!) just had her engagement pictures taken and I think they turned out beautiful. They are all posted here if you want to take a peek.

fun beach bag

I love this idea for a beach bag from Martha, posted over at Stephmodo. You can buy the bags over at Muji and print and sew your little star fish on. I'm going to have to try it this summer.

happy mother's day!!

Happy Mother's day mom! Thanks for all the time you spent while we were growing up perfecting our ponytails, braids and bangs! I remember dragging you out of bed many, many early mornings to "do my hair". I also remember how strange it felt when you were out of town, and dad had to do our hair, how it would be a little bumpy, crooked, and loose. You have always been a great mom and I know you're going to be such a fun grandma!

*don't you love Brooke bopping around in the background?

last night on TV

I have to say the Sims reference on 30 rock made me laugh the hardest...

The Office
Michael Scott: You all took a life here today. You did. The life of the party.

Michael Scott: Now I know what the founders of Phillip Morris felt like. You just wanna give people a smooth, fun way to relax, and suddenly you're just some terrible monster.

Michael Scott: [walking into the office holding an espresso cup] Guys I'm scared. I'm really scared. I think I'm growing into a giant because look at this normal-sized coffee cup. Looks so tiny in my giant hand now.

Angela: Look, I hate to be "that person" but I just don't like the general spirit of music.
Michael Scott: I know, I know! Angela, a lot of people doubted Cafe Disco at first but it is a magical place you have to give it a chance. If these walls could talk they would say, "this is a magical place. You are safe here. We have talking walls. We're not going to eat you."
Michael Scott: Hey hey, Angela, no! No cleaning up.
Angela: You are forcing to be down here, am I not allowed to have fun?

30 Rock
Tracy: Every man should know his father.
Jack: That's easy for you to say.
Tracy: No it wasn't. I struggled through that sentence.

Liz: I don't have a lot of real life experience, but if I have learned anything from my Sims family, when a child doesn't see his father enough, he starts to jump up and down. And then his mood level will drop...until he pees himself.

Tracy: I may hug people too hard and get lost in malls, but I'm not an idiot.

Liz: He asked me when my cult was committing suicide. (in reference to her sturdy shoes)
